BTS has added another "first" to their list of achievements.
According to Melon, "Spring Day" surpassed 1 billion cumulative streams on the 13th. This marks the first time a single track has achieved 1 billion streams on the platform.
With "Spring Day" alone, BTS has earned the "Billions Bronze Club" badge. Melon awards this recognition to artists who reach 1 billion cumulative streams.
The song continues to be loved consistently. "Spring Day" has remained on Melon's daily chart for 7 years, entering the chart for 2,738 consecutive days as of the 12th, setting the record for the longest charting song.
"Spring Day" is an alternative hip-hop track that combines Brit rock sensibilities with electronic sounds. The song features a lyrical melody and conveys a warm message of hope.
Every spring season, it re-enters the charts both domestically and internationally. Last year, it topped Japan's Oricon Chart "Daily Digital Single Ranking" (as of December 12).
