NCT DREAM has been nominated for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards in the United States.

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs) announced the list of nominees for this year's awards on its official website and social media on the 6th (local time). NCT DREAM is nominated in the Best K-Pop category for "Smoothie," the title track from their album "DREAM( )SCAPE," which was released in March.

This is the second time this year that NCT DREAM has been recognised at a major US awards show, having previously been nominated in the 'K-pop Artist of the Year' category at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards in April, underscoring the group's growing global profile.

Not only has NCT DREAM swept to the top of various global music charts with their album 'DREAM( )SCAPE', but their local popularity is set to grow even more as they embark on a massive 17-date world tour across 16 cities in North and South America and Europe, including Brazil, Chile, Mexico, the United States, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, starting in Colombia on 31 August.

In addition, NCT DREAM will be holding their world tour "THE DREAM SHOW 3 : DREAM( )SCAPE" in Manila, Philippines on 10-11 August, and will also be participating in two major Japanese festivals, "SUMMER SONIC 2024" at Tokyo Jojo Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe on 17 August and "SUMMER SONIC 2024" at Osaka Expo 70 Memorial Park on 18 August.

Meanwhile, the MTV VMAs is a music awards show hosted by MTV in the United States every year since 1984, and is considered one of the four major popular music awards in the United States along with the Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and American Music Awards, and will be held on 10 September at the UBS Arena in New York City.
