Singer G-Dragon has launched a foundation for public interest work. He is expected to exert positive influence as honorary chairman.

Last December, G-Dragon announced the establishment of a foundation to eradicate drugs. He will hold the 'JusPeace Foundation' inaugural event on the 5th.

His agency, 'Galaxy Corporation', said, "Since January, we have had advisory meetings, interviews with experts, discussions by field, and business preparations."

The 'JusPeace Foundation' is a name that G-Dragon himself chose. JusPeace is a combination of the words justice and peace.

G-Dragon said, "Even if it is not justice in a grand sense, correcting misunderstandings is justice in our lives," and "When we feel wronged, we need someone who believes in us until the end."

The Justice Foundation aims to contribute to the development of copyright culture that is directly connected to the cultivation of creative talents. The goal is to contribute to society through artistic talent.

It plans to carry out public use of copyrights, sponsorship of creative artistic talents, support for creators practicing public interest activities, and support for music therapy for youth drug addicts.

G-Dragon will serve as honorary chairman. He said, "Artists do not simply do art, but can also live a life that brings happiness and peace to the world."

He continued, "If we go beyond giving love and peace to the world through music and actually show a positive influence through social service or public interest foundations, we can help more people."

Foundation chairman and Galaxy Corporation CHO (Chief Happiness Officer) Choi Yong-ho said, "In accordance with G-Dragon's wishes, we will carry out unique social contributions starting with the donation of copyrights and their profits."
