‘BTS’ Jimin showed off his potential as a solo singer. He has taken over the US Billboard main chart with his new album.
Billboard announced its latest chart (dated August 3) on the 30th (local time). Jimin ranked 2nd on the main album chart 'Billboard 200' with his 2nd solo album 'Muse'.
That's not all. 'Muse' also did well on various charts. It ranked high on detailed charts such as 'Top Album Sales' (2nd) and 'Top Current Album Sales' (2nd).
The title song 'Who' is also very popular. It showed off its potential by ranking 14th on the main song chart 'Hot 100', as well as 'Global 200', 'Global (Excluding US)', and 'Digital Song Sales'.
In particular, its performance on the 'Global (Excluding US)' chart was notable. First, 'Who' reached the top. All seven tracks on the album, including 'Smelado Garden Marching Band' and 'Be Mine', entered the charts.
This achievement was an opportunity to show the presence of Jimin as a solo artist. He continued to rank high on the 'Billboard 200' following his first solo album 'Face'.
He entered the 'Hot 100' with a total of six individual songs. He was recorded as the K-pop solo artist with the most number one hits (six times) on the 'Digital Song Sales' chart.
Big Hit Music, his agency, said, "This achievement was possible because of the artist's sincerity and consistency without being sly." They also shared Jimin's vocal behind-the-scenes story.
Producer Pdogg said, "Jimin is an artist whose attitude of always working hard is attractive. We can see his musical journey growing even more because of this effort."
Meanwhile, the title song 'Who' has been maintaining its #1 spot on Spotify's 'Daily Top Song Global' for 7 consecutive days (23rd-29th), the world's largest music streaming platform.
