BTS' Jimin is set to continue the popularity of 'Who' with a remix album.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, Big Hit Music announced through the global platform 'Weverse' that Jimin will release a remix album for the title track 'Who' from his second solo album 'Muse'.
'Who' will be released on the 23rd at 1 PM. The album will include the original track and instrumental version, as well as acoustic, rock, Shibuya-kei, funky, and Beautiful Mind remixes.
Through the original track, Jimin exuded a sexy and daring vibe. The acoustic remix highlights a sweet and mellow feel, with Jimin's charming voice standing out prominently.
The rock remix is a reinterpretation of the original track in the grunge rock genre. With intense electric guitar and powerful drums, it exudes a stronger energy compared to the original.
The Shibuya-kei remix is inspired by the Shibuya-kei genre, which was popular in early 2000s J-pop. It features a lounge house-style rhythm combined with guitar and synthesizer sounds.
The funky remix blends a funky guitar and synthesizer sound on top of a disco rhythm, characteristic of the electro-funk genre. It offers a different charm from the original guitar performance.
Lastly, the Beautiful Mind remix reinterprets the original song's sentiment in a minimal and chill manner. Despite its calmness, the rhythmic bounce creates a hopeful atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Jimin released his second solo album 'Muse' globally on the 19th. The title track 'Who' soared to No. 1 on the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 112 countries/regions as of 9 AM on the 20th.
Jimin will debut his solo performance on the American NBC popular program 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' on the 23rd at 12:35 PM.
