'The Boys' Sunwoo will play the protagonist of a campus romance.
On the 16th, Mnet's 'My Arti Film' announced, "Sunwoo will star in the first episode as the lead role." On the same day, they also released two posters with their sweet romantic chemistry.
Sunwoo and Jung Da-bin make a picturesque two-shot. Together, they are seen sheltering from the rain and standing under a streetlight. It was reminiscent of famous scenes from the films 'Classic' and 'La La Land'.
It foreshadowed a young romance. The phrase 'Sister is so beautiful' was written at the top of the poster. "Please look forward to Sunwoo and Jung Da-bin, who is the same age as Sunwoo," said a representative.
Sunwoo plays a young college student. He is a younger man who goes straight for his crush. "He has perfected his chemistry with Jung Da-bin, who has excellent acting skills and doll-like visuals," the representative explained.
"Sunwoo is a hexagonal idol with an unrivalled dance line and heartwarming visuals, and we thought his youthful energy was perfect for a campus romance film," the representative continued.
"My Arti Film" is Mnet's new cinematic performance content. Each time, a different K-pop artist will star in a different film, tackling various genres such as melo, comedy, and thriller.
The collaborations combine K-pop and cinema. Dance performances that reinterpret famous scenes from movies with their own colours are incorporated into the works. He is also planning to open a cinema.
Meanwhile, the first episode of "My Arti Film" will be released on Mnet and Mnet K-Pop YouTube channels on 30th May at 9pm.
