Hive Global Group's &TEAM's K has been cast in the Japanese terrestrial drama "私をもらって ~追憶編~" (Take Me, Take Me), marking his first acting challenge.
The drama is based on a popular South Korean webtoon that has garnered over 16 million views (as of May 2024) and is available in eight languages.
It tells the love story of a man who falls into a coma after a sudden accident and a woman who miraculously wakes up from death's door on the same day, and airs every Friday night at 12:30pm on Nippon TV.
K plays the role of the Grim Reaper, a man who guides souls wandering between the afterlife and the living world on their path to death. He is a mysterious figure who holds the key to the story, bringing both tension and fun to the show.
In the first episode, which aired on the 6th of this month, K drew viewers' attention with his tall stature and unique visuals. He made a surprise appearance at the end of the episode and made a brief but powerful impression by saying something meaningful to the male lead.
"I will do my best with a challenging heart. I would appreciate it if you look at me with a warm gaze. My role is a character who is not interested in anything and is annoying, but sometimes he has a human side, so I hope you will pay attention to the difference between the two," he said in his drama debut and shared his viewing tips.
Meanwhile, K's group &TEAM (EJ, Fuma, Kei, Nicholas, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, and Maki) will release their second single "Aoarashi" on the 7th of next month.
