Fashion magazine Cosmopolitan has released its summer editorial featuring THE BOYZ's HyunJae.
In an interview for the pictorial, which was released on the 4th, Hyunhyun said that his favourite look was an oversized short-sleeved tee with a black lettering logo. "The black t-shirt rolled up and styled! I definitely think I look good in black, and the background was particularly pretty when I took that shot," he said.
We also got to hear about THE BOYZ's upcoming activities. "We are preparing hard for our world tour, starting with a concert in Seoul in July. We will tour Asia, Europe, and the United States for three months." "On our last tour, there were two cities that were cancelled due to COVID-19. Dallas and San Jose. I'm so sorry that I couldn't go then, so I'm going first this time. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of city and what kind of fans will be there," he said, sharing his thoughts on the upcoming overseas tour. "I think we'll have some good news after the tour," he said, "We haven't seen our Korean fans for a long time, but we'll make up for it this year. The start of our world tour is in Seoul, so maybe we can give them a taste of it." "We have an overseas tour schedule throughout the summer, but we'll try not to let them feel our absence, and we'll make fun memories with the overseas derby fans we meet on tour every day," he added.
On the other hand, one of HyunJae's most important beliefs since her debut is honesty. "I used to say not only what I wanted to say, but also what my friends and members wanted to say," he says, "but when I got into social life, I realised that it wasn't easy to say everything I wanted to say. (Laughs) So now, I only say what I really need to say, and I've become a person who knows how to save words." He adds, "I've matured. We also asked him about the meaning of 'derby' to the members of THE BOYZ and their fanbase. "Derby is like the driving force of our life. If THE BOYZ is the car, then derby is the fuel," he said, adding, "Even if there is only one derby, we will work really hard." As for what he's most looking forward to doing in the summer, he says "going to university" and "visiting water parks" are on the top of his list. "I especially want to go to a water park and play without being watched, because I don't think I'll ever be able to play without a circle in a water park, so I'm really looking forward to it. For now, I'll have to settle for a bath," he said.
As for his unfulfilled 2024 plans, he says he wants to make a comeback. "Actually, I don't make big plans at the beginning of the year. I focus on what I need to do day by day, but this year, I think I've lived every day faithfully and fully, so I don't have any major regrets so far, and if there is one plan left, it's to show a new side of THE BOYS as the seventh year." Finally, he was asked where he would most like to travel to if he didn't have an overseas tour. "Sokcho in Korea! I'm really curious about the Sokcho restaurant I saw on 'Sungshi's Eating Tende' recently. It was a pork belly restaurant, and I've never seen Sungshi's reaction like that before."
