'EXO' Suho expressed concern about the dispute between EXO-CBX and SM Entertainment. Suho is the leader of EXO. He cannot help but be very worried.
On the 14th, Suho conducted an interview commemorating the end of MBN's 'The Crown Prince Disappeared' at the SM Entertainment building in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
Coincidentally, this morning, EXO-CBX released a statement through 'INB100'. On the 12th, SM filed a lawsuit demanding “payment of 10% of sales.”
Suho said, "I and the other members also learned about (EXO-CBX's) last press conference and this morning's situation through articles," and added, "Honestly, I feel embarrassed and upset."
More than anything, I felt sorry for the fans. “The rest of the members are also suffering,” he said, “What I’m most worried about is the feelings of the fans. As a leader, I want to say I’m so sorry,” he said, bowing his head.
EXO members also talked to EXO-CBX. “We also asked (EXO-CBX), ‘What happened?’ EXO-CBX explained, ‘It’s just as it was in the article, and we’re requesting it from SM.’”
EXO-CBX also apologized to its members. Suho announced, “The three members said to the other members, ‘We are sorry for causing another conflict with the company, following last year.’”
Will we see EXO's full comeback? “We recently held a fan meeting for EXO’s 12th anniversary. We are also preparing a winter album. Sehun and Kai will also be discharged from the military next year,” he said, adding, “We have been planning next year with SM since this year.”
He then said, "As a leader, it is my job to proceed smoothly and reward the audience with music," but sighed, "This is not a situation where I can make a fuss. I'm worried."
Lastly, he promised, "As a leader, I will talk well with the three members. I will try to lead them in a direction that does not cause any disruption to EXO's activities."
Meanwhile, EXO-CBX recently held a press conference and started an all-out war with SM. SM complained that it had not kept the agreement for individual activities (5.5% commission rate for music distribution).
According to EXO-CBX, SM verbally promised EXO-CBX a distribution commission rate of 5.5%. EXO-CBX's explanation is that they believed in this agreement and signed a contract to pay 10% of individual activity sales to SM.
SM's position is different. It meant helping you get 5.5%, but not guaranteeing it. In fact, it was pointed out that this clause was missing from the agreement. He filed a lawsuit saying, “Please pay 10% of royalties.”
