NewJeans has begun the countdown to its Japanese debut.
Adore pre-released the music video for NewJeans' new song 'Right Now' on the 17th. This song is one of the songs included in NewJeans' Japanese debut single 'Supernatural'.
The music video was kitsch. It contains an unrealistic world where the actual members' appearances and animation elements are mixed. ‘Powerpuff Girls & NewJeans’ characters and ‘Takashi Murakami & NewJeans’ characters appeared.
HANNI held the opening. She depicted an episode that takes place in a situation where she sends a message to the person she likes and waits for her reply. Her members watch HANNI with pride and give her advice.
The bouncing melody of ‘Right Now’ and the members’ voices captivated my ears. This song features a beat of the drum and bass genre. Previously, NewJeans released part of the song as a CM song.
NewJeans will release its debut single in Japan on the 21st. Following this, they will appear one after another on representative local music broadcasting programs. Starting with Japanese TV Asahi's 'Music Station', they will begin their activities in earnest.
We also meet closely with local fans. A fan meeting will be held at Tokyo Dome on the 26th and 27th to communicate with the Bunnies (fandom). Adore said, “We held a fan meeting outside of the existing framework of a debut showcase.”
Meanwhile, NewJeans achieved four consecutive million-sellers with the recently released double single 'How Sweet'. Not only did it occupy the top spot on major domestic music charts, but it also achieved good results on the US Billboard.
