Actress Song Hye-kyo once again joined hands with Professor Seo Gyeong-deok of Sungshin Women's University. A guide was delivered to the ‘Lee Tae-jun Memorial Hall’ in Mongolia.
On the 13th, Professor Seo said on his SNS, "There is a 'Lee Tae-jun Memorial Park' in downtown Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. I learned that the 'Lee Tae-jun Memorial Hall' is being built here."
Lee Tae-jun is a person who devoted himself to the independence movement. In 1914, he moved to Ulaanbaatar, transported independence funds to the Shanghai Provisional Government, and participated in Uiyeoldan activities.
Professor Seo said, “Recently, in consultation with the Mongolian Korean Association, which is in charge of site management, we decided to donate 10,000 copies of a guidebook about Mr. Lee to the newly built Lee Tae-jun Memorial Hall.”
The guidebook is produced in Korean and Mongolian. It was planned by Professor Seo and sponsored by Song Hye-kyo. The two have been publicizing the historic sites of the independence movement for 13 years. So far, donations have been made to as many as 35 places.
Lastly, he requested, “Our continued interest and visits are the best way to publicize and preserve the historic sites of the Korean independence movement that are neglected overseas.”
