Jimin of BTS donated a college student scholarship.

On the 17th of last month, the Department of Physical Therapy at Dongeui Science University located in Busan released a photo of the 'BTS Jimin Scholarship' award ceremony on the school's website.

The school said, "Jimin donated a scholarship to Dong-eui Science University's Department of Physical Therapy," and "The professor and Jimin's father were connected, and it ended up as a sponsored donation made for the development of the Department of Physical Therapy."

According to the school, it is not a one-time donation. "In the first semester, a second-year student was selected as a scholarship student," he said, adding, "This scholarship will continue in the second semester."

The school added, "We hope that our students will receive scholarships and become talented individuals that society needs more," adding, "We also hope that students (like Jimin) will live a life of giving to others."

Jimin is considered a donation angel in the entertainment industry. In particular, Jimin has been interested in the field of education and child welfare. He donated 100 million won in scholarships to each of the Busan, Jeonnam, and Gangwon offices of education.

They also supported the cost of school uniforms at his alma mater, Hoedong Elementary School, and the replacement of desks and chairs at Busan Arts High School. He also provided 100 million won to the North Chungcheong Province Office of Education to purchase books for children.

His father is also known to have had a great influence. Jimin's father runs a cafe in Nam-gu, Busan and is leading the way in volunteer work. Over the past three years, he has donated 76 million won worth of donations to his hometown.

Meanwhile, all members of BTS are fulfilling their military service obligations.
