Gong Myung "Little Brother Doyoung Didn't Visit Me in the Military... Even Criticizes My Hair" (Cinetown)

Actor Gong Myung revealed an anecdote involving his younger brother, NCT's Doyoung.

On the 8th, Gong Myung appeared as a guest on SBS PowerFM's "Park Ha-sun's Cinetown" (hereinafter referred to as "Cinetown").

A listener introduced themselves as a fan of NCT's Doyoung and sent a message saying, "Dear brother-in-law, I recently watched the movie. It was great." Park Ha-sun asked, "Doyoung is known to be close with you. Do you guys watch each other's works?"

To this, Gong Myung replied with a laugh, "Doyoung even gives me feedback like 'your hairstyle isn't great' when he sees my press photos." Gong Myung also expressed affection for Doyoung, saying, "Since we're in the same industry, we can rely on each other."

It was then mentioned that Doyoung did not visit Gong Myung during his military service. Gong Myung explained, "It wasn't easy for him to visit me during my military service due to COVID." When Park Ha-sun mentioned that she didn't know Gong Myung and Doyoung were brothers, Gong Myung said, "It's not like we're hiding it, but many people still don't know."

Park Ha-sun asked Gong Myung, who starred in the movie "Extreme Job" directed by Lee Byung-hun, "Lee Byung-hun's films are known for having a lot of lines. Wasn't it difficult?" Gong Myung replied, "Rather than the difficulty of having a lot of lines, it was challenging to capture the essence of the director's lines."

Park Ha-sun also mentioned, "Ra Miran once said, 'Gong Myung used to run away from older ladies, but after returning from the military, he became more friendly.' Is that true?"

Gong Myung explained, "Ra Miran welcomed me with so much love, which made me initially flustered. After returning from the military, I think I just naturally accepted such affection."

That day, Park Ha-sun also shared a sighting of Gong Myung. She said, "One day in a underground parking lot, I saw a soldier from a distance and thought, 'What kind of soldier is that handsome?' But it turned out to be Gong Myung." Gong Myung added, "I was on vacation and waiting in the car when I coincidentally ran into Park Ha-sun and her husband."

Park Ha-sun joked, "My husband, Ryu Soo-young, said, 'Gong Myung, long time no see,' as if he knew you, but when I asked later, he said he didn't know you," eliciting laughter
