New Jeans, New Record with 600 Million Streams

New Jeans added a new record with its hit song "OMG." It exceeded 600 million streams on Spotify for the first time.

According to "Spotify," New Jeans recorded 6,558,542 streams as of the 3rd with the title track "OMG."

"OMG" was released in early January last year. It is a bouncy, exciting hip-hop R&B song that combines UK garage and trap rhythms.

Upon its release, the song swept major music charts in Korea. It was also included in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, gaining huge popularity worldwide.

It is still at the top of Korean charts a year later. It has been showing off its enormous presence by remaining on the Billboard "Global (excluding the U.S.)" chart for 56 weeks.

New Jeans has produced a total of 10 Spotify billion streams, including "OMG." "Ditto has been played more than 500 million times, while Super Shy" and "Hype Boy" have been played more than 400 million times, respectively.

"Attention" has been streamed more than 300 million times, "Cookie" more than 200 million times, and "Hurt," "New Jeans," "ETA," and "Cool with You" have been streamed more than 100 million times each. The total cumulative streaming number of Spotify is about 3.6 billion times.

Meanwhile, New Jeans was nominated in five categories at the '21st Korean Popular Music Awards', becoming the most nominated artist. This year's award ceremony will be broadcasted live on an online platform on the 29th.
