tvN's new drama 'Queen of Tears' has completed its main cast lineup. Following the meeting of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won, Park Sung-hoon, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Lee Joo-bin have joined the cast.
'Queen of Tears' is a romance drama featuring the characters Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won), the queen of a department store, and Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-hyun), the son of a rural village leader. The story revolves around the couple facing a crisis in their marriage and rediscovering love.
The drama is the latest work by Park Ji-eun, known for 'My Love from the Star,' 'The Legend of the Blue Sea,' and 'Crash Landing on You.' Jang Young-woo PD from 'Bulgasal: Immortal Souls' and director Kim Hee-won from 'Vincenzo' have also collaborated on this project.
Kim Soo-hyun takes on the role of Baek Hyun-woo, the head of the Queens Group. Baek Hyun-woo is known as a dragon born in a small village Yongdu-ri and, after graduating from a prestigious law school, becomes Hong Hae-in's husband.
Kim Ji-won transforms into the queen of a department store, Hong Hae-in. Hong Hae-in has been wealthy since birth and, after choosing Baek Hyun-woo for marriage, faces unexpected challenges.
Park Sung-hoon plays Yoon Eun-sung, a former Wall Street analyst turned M&A specialist. Yoon Eun-sung, a renowned investor, returns to Korea after a long overseas stay and becomes connected with Queens.
Kwak Dong-yeon transforms into Hong Su-cheol, the CEO of Queens Mart and Hong Hae-in's brother. Hong Su-cheol, in contrast to his accomplished sister, happily lives with his wife Cheon Da-hye.
Lee Joo-bin is cast as Cheon Da-hye, the counterpart to Yoon Eun-sung. Da-hye comes from a deeply respected scholarly family and receives abundant affection from the adult members of the Queens Group.
'Queen of Tears' is set to premiere in March.
