BTS's Jung Kook earned a Platinum Disc for 'Golden' from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

RIAJ grants Gold Disc (100,000 physical shipments), Platinum Disc (250,000 physical shipments), and Double Platinum Disc (500,000 physical shipments) certifications.

Jung Kook became the first solo artist to earn a Platinum Disc with 'Golden.' 'Golden' topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart with sales of 205,961 copies upon its release last month. The album also swept many other charts including the Weekly Album Chart, Weekly Digital Album Chart, and Weekly Total Album Chart.

Jung Kook previously received RIAJ's Gold certification for his solo song 'Euphoria', his collaboration song with Charlie Puth 'Left and Right', and his solo single 'Seven'.

Meanwhile, Jung Kook also earned a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and a Silver certification from the Recording Industry Association of Britain, respectively.
