On December 4, Choi Min-hwan announced on his official social media that he and Yul-hee agreed to divorce mediation. "After a long discussion, my wife and I agreed to end our marriage," the singer said.

He added, "We feel sorry for everyone who supported and watched our decision to start a family at such a young age. We are truly sorry."
