Monsta X's Kihyun is fulfilling his national defense duty. 

On the 22nd, Starship Entertainment announced, "Kihyun will be entering the training center today," and "After completing basic military training, he will be assigned to the active duty in the Army." 

As it is an event involving many military personnel, they requested fans to refrain from visiting. The agency stated, "The place and time of enlistment will be kept private," and explained that he will enlist quietly.

Before his enlistment, Kihyun revealed his freshly shaved head. He posted a photo from a hair salon visit on his personal social media, where he greeted Monbebes (fandom name) and said, "I'll be back well."

He promised for the group's full activities in the future. He mentioned, "After the military service of all six members is completed, we will reunite," and expressed his wishes for the members' well-being and gratitude.

Kihyun is the fourth member of the group to begin his military service. Monsta X's leader, Shownu, followed by Minhyuk and Jooheon, have already enlisted. Shownu completed his military service in April and resumed his entertainment activities.
