Young K of DAY6 is making a comeback with a new album.
On July 31, JYP Entertainment officially announced Young K's solo comeback through Day6's official social media page.
According to the announcement, Young K will release his first full album 'Letters with Notes' on September 4 at 6 p.m. (KST). This album will also include pre-released songs that Young K previously performed at the festival after discharge from the military.
It has been exactly two years since his latest release of the song. Young K, who entered the music industry as Day6's vocalist and bassist in 2015, released his 1st mini-album "Eternal" in 2021. Aside from his solo debut, he released two mini-albums with Wonpil and Dowoon under the unit "Even of Day".
Young K, who enlisted as a KATUSA soldier in October 2021 and was discharged this April, won the Best Artist (MVP) award at the outdoor music festival "Beautiful Mint Life 2023" this May.
At the end of the year, Day6 members will reunite as a band. Leader Sungjin was discharged last September, drummer Dowoon was dismissed from the army band on July 16, and keyboardist Wonpil will be discharged from the Navy on November 27.
