Jung Kook is kicking off his solo career on a high. As a member of BTS, he is also writing history with his first solo single, 'Seven.' It blasted in at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. 

On July 26, Jung Kook released 'Seven' recording film on YouTube. The behind-the-scenes recording was about 15 minutes long. 

The singer went to Los Angeles in April to record 'Seven'. He seemed nervous before meeting producer Andrew Watt.

He also expressed his excitement before the recording, saying "It's the first time recording abroad with a producer who's not Korean." 

Jung Kook expressed his special affection for 'Seven'. He recalled, "I could just imagine myself singing that song. I thought I'd look so grown up if I performed that song on stage after coming back."

Jung Kook put a lot of effort into the recording. The tone of his voice was unique and he had excellent singing skills. Andrew Watt shouted "Yes" and showed satisfaction.

Jung Kook said, "I managed to finish recording. I felt more confident that I finished such a hard song. I thought that if I worked harder there could be a version of me who can sing all types of songs."

He also introduced his own vocal exercises. "I lost my voice once and I found this straw vocal exercise. I watched a video on research dealing with this exercise and they said that this helps with balancing the vocal cords."

The singer revealed his extraordinary aspirations. He also revealed his goal, "I'd like to be the one and only singer who can cross back and forth between K-POP and pop songs. I'm gonna conquer all genres if I could. I could also do musicals and classical singing."
