LE SSERAFIM collaborates with Japanese singer-songwriter Imase.
On the 25th, at 6 PM, LE SSERAFIM will pre-release the track "Jewelry" (Prod. imase) from second Japanese single album, "UNFORGIVEN," on music streaming platforms.
"Jewelry" is a city pop song with impressive lyrics, such as "starlight and moonlight that might just fall to earth, shining me who dances to make even tragedy sparkle".
Imase was in charge of the songwriting, composition, and production. He gained popularity with his song "Night Dancer," which surpassed 1.2 billion views on TikTok (as of April). He was the first J-pop artist to enter Melon's Top 100.
Imase stated, "It was an honor to receive a collaboration proposal from LE SSERAFIM, whose songs I often listen to. I wanted to express the beauty and strength they possess through the lyrics."
He continued, "It was my first time writing a song for another artist. It was refreshing to hear someone else sing the melody and lyrics I created. I hope many people enjoy it."
The agency stated, "LE SSERAFIM has recently expanded their musical spectrum through collaborations with overseas artists such as Nile Rodgers and Upsahl. Their encounter with Imase is also expected to be fresh and exciting."
LE SSERAFIM will release their second Japanese single album on the 23rd of next month, which will include a total of three tracks: "Jewelry," "UNFORGIVEN," and a Japanese version of "Antifragile."
The response from fans in Japan is enthusiastic. LE SSERAFIM topped the "Oricon Semi-Annual Ranking 2023" in the "New Artist Ranking" sales category, achieving sales of approximately 11 billion KRW.
