Sandara Park of 2NE1 shared a story about YG taking away her cell phone because of G-Dragon, a colleague from her former label.
On Tuesday (July 18), Chae Ri-na, Sandara Park, Narsha, and Chaeryeong appeared as guests on JTBC's TV show Salty Pawn Shop.
Sandara Park took out the old cell phone she used in 2009, saying "The boss took my phone because of G-Dragon. It's a valuable phone for me."
"I was famous among male celebrities after my debut. I received calls from men, but I ignored them and didn't reply", she explained.
Sandara Park continued, "But one day, a man got frustrated so he met G-Dragon and complained, saying 'Dara noona doesn't contact me.'"
She explained, "G-Dragon told me he felt good after hearing that. He was proud that a member of the first girl band YG produced avoided a star like him. So he spread the story among company employees and it reached the boss. He thought I was contacting some guys and took away my phone. So, I had to live without a phone for a few months", revealing the full story behind the incident."
Asked if G-Dragon was sorry, Sandara Park laughed, saying, "I doubt it."
She also complained, "Labels don't bother male bands." Chae Rina agreed, saying " My label also left the male members alone, whether they were dating or not."
Regarding the 4th generation idols, Tak Jae-hun asked, "Aren't people sending DMs on social media these days?" And Chaeryeong replied, "We do not have our own social media accounts, but each of us has a cell phone. We do not know each other's numbers. We use our cell phones to call our parents."
When asked about how they go on dates, she responded, "What is a date?", pretending not to know. Tak Jae-hun laughed and asked, "Are you receiving special training at the label?"
