Actors Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo will collaborate as a temporary married couple.

On July 17, Netflix announced the production and casting confirmation for the new series "The Trunk." Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo have been confirmed to star in the series.

"The Trunk" tells the story set within a temporary marriage service agency NM, which sets up married lives with desired partners. It is based on a novel of the same name.

The contract period is just one year, and the story revolves around various relationships intertwined in this unconventional premium matching service that provides customized spouses.

Director Kim Kyu-tae, known for hits like "Our Blues" and "It's Okay, That's Love," is directing the series. The screenplay is written by Park Eun-young, who worked on "Hwarang."

Seo Hyun-jin takes on the role of "Inji," an NM employee who matches temporary marriages. After four failed marriages, she meets "Jungwon," as her fifth marriage partner.

Gong Yoo portrays "Jungwon," a music producer consumed by anxiety and loneliness due to past pain. He encounters "Inji" through the temporary spouse service requested by his ex-wife.

With their own secrets and pain, the two gradually get to know each other. One day, they get entangled in a whirlwind of events triggered by a mysterious trunk discovered by a lakeside.

The response from viewers has already been explosive even before the series' release. It's no wonder, as Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun-jin are both under the same agency and are expected to deliver fresh chemistry on screen.
