Netflix's upcoming series 'Mr. Plankton's cast was announced alongside production confirmation on July 12. Woo Do-hwan, Lee Yoo-mi, Oh Jung-se, and Kim Hae-sook confirmed their appearances.
'Mr. 'Plankton' is the story of "Haejo," a man who was accidentally born by mistake, forced to accompany the world's most unlucky woman "Jaemi" on his last trip.
Woo Do-hwan takes on the role of "Haejo," a man who was mistakenly born with an unconventional 'seed' and had to live a wandering life without a family. One day, news shakes Haejo's life and he begins searching for his roots.
Lee Yoo-mi portrays "Jae-mi," the world's most miserable bride-to-be. She always wanted a family but suddenly embarks on an unfortunate journey with Haejo just before her wedding to the only son of a prestigious family in their fifth generation.
Oh Jung-se plays the role of "Eoheung", the only son in a family with a deep history. To overcome the opposition of elders in the family, Eohheung even takes advantage of pregnancy before marriage and successfully makes his wedding happen. Eoheung chases after his bride Jaemi after she disappears with Haejo on his wedding day.
Kim Hae-sook will portray "Beomhoja," Eoheung's mother who has been the daughter-in-law of the head family for 60 years. In her fury over her daughter-in-law's disappearance, Beomhoja goes out of her way to catch Haejo.
'Mr. Plankton' is written by Cho Yong, the author of 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay,' and directed by Hong Jong-chan, known for 'Dear My Friends.' and the Netflix series 'Juvenile Justice.'
