JTBC's 'King the Land' (written by Choi Rome and directed by Lim Hyun-ook) captivated viewers around the world.
According to 'Netflix Top 10', 'King the Land' recorded 4.7 million viewing hours for a week from June 19-25. Following 'The Surrogacy' it ranked second globally in the non-English TV category.
It is up five notches from last week (7th). It topped 13 countries, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Maldives, Qatar, and Vietnam.
'King the Land' is a romantic comedy. It depicts the process of finding a true smile between Goo Won (Lee Jun-ho), the heir and head general manager who despises laughter, and Cheon Sa-rang (Im Yoon-ah), a hotelier who has to smile.
The secret of popularity is the chemistry between Lee Jun-ho and Im Yoon-ah. In particular, Goo Won has a crush on Cheon Sa-rang and It made viewers look forward to it.
Meanwhile, 'King the Land' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 pm(KST) . It is also in service on Netflix.
