Fantagio Entertainment, Astro’s agency, will be taking legal action in response to the spread of excessive rumors regarding the late Moonbin.

On June 16th, Fantagio posted a statement on Astro's official website. The statement read, "We wanted to address the concerns of fans regarding our artists.” The agency explained, "We have repeatedly come across malicious rumours and posts that cannot be overlooked anymore. We have already taking legal action."

Fantagio firmly stated, "There will be no mercy. We will strengthen our internal monitoring processes and continue to take strong legal action.”

On April 19th, Astro’s former member the late Moonbin, was found dead in his apartment in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. According to police investigations, there were no signs of criminal suspicions. After the death, some fans raised suspicions with regards to the late artist’s sudden death, which curated malicious rumours.

In the end, the late Moonbin's mother released a statement to express her difficulty in seeing malicious comments and rumours. She appealed directly by saying, “as a mother, I hope that my son is not used as the topic of gossip.”
