The Netflix reality show 'Physical: 100' is returning for Season 2, promising an even larger scale with innovative quests and an exciting lineup of contestants.
'Physical: 100' is a fitness survival show that pits 100 of Korea’s highest-profile sportsmen, including professional athletes to bodybuilders and sports influencers. The contestants compete with each other in various rounds of fitness challenges in order to claim the top spot.
Season 1 was a mega success, becoming Netflix’s #1 non-English show for two weeks and top 10 in 82 countries around the world. The series recorded 192.63 hours of streaming worldwide over the course of six weeks.
The renewed season, Season 2, is coming back with even more energy.
An official stated, "The strongest Physical 100 individuals, regardless of age, gender, nationality and weight class are ready to show viewers another level of fitness.”
Director Jang Ho-Gi emphasized a new focus on direction for the new season. He revealed, "For Season 2, we decided to create everything anew, leaving only the core concept of 'exploring the most perfect physical abilities.'" He added, "Season 1 was the size of two soccer fields. For this season, we have prepared a larger space to create a new universe" and hinted at the feature of even stronger contestants.
He continued, “I give you my word that we will be back with an all-new season that has got everything taken up a notch for our global fans.”
