"The Korean astronaut is stranded on the moon."
On June 14th, the new upcoming film 'The Moon' (directed by Kim Yong-Hwa), released teaser trailer videos and posters.
The trailer clip showed the first Korean lunar exploration spacecraft. Astronaut Sun-Woo (played by Do Kyung-Soo) sets foot on to the moon but has to race against time to avoid a meteor shower (storm). The scene quickly changes to the space center where Jae-Gook (played by Sul Kyung-Gu) and Moon-Young (played by Kim Hee-Ae) quietly watched over him. Sun-Woo shouted, "Mayday."
'The Moon' is a survival action thriller set in space. It depicts the struggle of Sun-Woo, an astronaut stranded on the moon due to an accident, and Jae-Gook, the former space center director, trying to rescue Sun-Woo. Moon-Young is the main director of NASA and takes on the task given by Jae-Gook in aid to save Sun-Woo.
‘The Moon’ is directed by Kim Yong-Hwa who is famously known for successfully directing ‘Along with the Gods.’
The variations of the teaser posters capture the different emotions of the three main characters. It reflects Sun-Woo's loneliness and fear as he is stranded on the moon, with Jae-Gook and Moon-Young in desperation and anxiety as they race against time to rescue Sun-Woo.
'The Moon' is set to hit the screens on August 2nd. Stay in tune!
