On June 9th, JYP Entertainment posted a poster along with the caption “ZYO's ZONE Killin Me Good”, to announce the upcoming solo debut of Twice’s Jihyo.
The poster features Jihyo applying lipstick onto her lips while looking into the rear-view mirror in a car.
After making her debuting in 2015 with Twice, Jihyo will release her first solo album in 8 years. Within Twice, Jihyo’s debut will mark the second member to embark as a soloist, following Nayeon who made her solo debut last year with ‘IM Nayeon.’
Twice is currently on their 5th world tour, 'READY TO BE', having met fans in Seoul, Australia and Japan.
In particular, during performances in Japan, Twice set a new record to become the first K-pop girl group to hold stadium concerts. Tickets sold out immediately for all four stadium concerts, attracting over 220,000 fans.
The members will continue their tour in North America. In the upcoming days, on June 10th, Twice will perform at the Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, USA. Tickets for the concert at MetLife Stadium in New York on July 6th is already sold out.
Based on their popularity and success, Twice recently announced additional dome concerts in Japan. On December 16th and 17th, they are scheduled to perform at Nagoya’s Vantelin Dome and on December 27th to 28th at Fukuoka’s PayPay Dome.
