On May 30th, footballer Son Heung-Min waved for cameras at Incheon International airport upon returning to South Korea, after finishing the 2022-2023 season of the English Premier League (EPL).
On this day, Son Heung-Min was dressed in an iconic polo shirt from the luxury brand Burberry for which he is the brand ambassador for. The polo shirt is one of Burberry’s classic designs and is currently being sold on the official website for 990,000 KRW (roughly $800 USD).
Son Heung-Min paired the checkered Burberry shirt with chic wide pants in black and clean white sneakers. His gold watch around his left wrist also caught the eye, suspected to be from the Swiss high-end watch brand Patek Philippe.
Netizens reacted by saying, "Son Heung-Min looks stylish in the Burberry shirt. It will probably become a trend soon", "Son Heung-Min has great selling power in the fashion industry. The products he wears will quickly sell out" and "Compared to what Son Heung-Min earns, it is more than affordable.”
Son Heung-Min was also spotted in Burberry last year in November when he made a trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The Checked Wool Mohair Blend Jacquard Cardigan was priced at 1,950,000 KRW (approximately $1,500 USD). At that time, a Burberry representative stated, "Although Son Heung-min is a global ambassador, the cardigan was not sponsored."
The EPL footballer is well known to have a love for fashion and does not save to dress stylishly. Previously, Son was seen wearing a Patek Philippe ‘Nautilus Chronograph’ model, which is reportedly known to have a resale value of up to 350 million KRW (approximately $270,000 USD).
