On May 21st, a representative from Netflix stated, “The release of ‘Persona: Sulli (Persona 2)’, which stars the late actress and singer Sulli, is currently being discussed.”
Previously, a media outlet claimed that a global fan had uploaded the following post on their social media accoung: "'Persona: Sulli' will be added to the Netflix Brazil platform on June 16th. It includes special episodes of Persona, starring Sulli and in-depth interviews conducted by Sulli in 2019."
The 'Persona' series is a project produced by singer Yoon Jong-Shin, directed by four directors cenetered around one main actor as the muse to create an anthology of short films. In Season 1, singer and actress IU was the main lead, followed by Sulli who was the main lead for Season 2.
However, due to Sulli’s sudden death on October 14th in 2019, the release of ‘Persona 2’ was suspended. At that time, the production company Mystic Story stated, "Sulli was the main lead of 'Persona' Season 2, and filming for two out of five seasons was in progress. Currently, nothing has been decided regarding the project's release or any other related matters."
