Aespa's third mini-album 'My World' which will officially be released later today, has exceeded a total of 1.8 million copies for pre-orders (as of May 8th). This breaks their previous pre-orders record of selling out 1.61 million copies for their second mini-album 'Girls.'
The new album ‘My World’ includes a total of six tracks in the track list in various genres, including the title track 'Spicy’, as well as 'Welcome To MY World’, 'Salty & Sweet’, 'Thirsty’, 'I'm Unhappy', and ''Til We Meet Again.'
In particular, the title track 'Spicy' is a dance genre with an intense synth bass sound and dynamic beat. The lyrics capture Aespa's free-spirited charm and showcases a new mood with each member's unique vocals full of power.
The music video for 'Spicy' has a trendy and captivating flow that resembles a high-teen movie. It also unfolds Aespa’s worldview story which transitions from 'Kwangya' (the deserted world) to the 'real' world. The new album will introduce the concept of an abnormal climate phenomenon that is occurring to Aespa.
Prior to the release of the album, the girl group will hold a comeback live broadcast on May 8th at 17:00 (KST) on their official YouTube and TikTok channels, as well as on the Idol Plus platform.
