On May 4th, SM Entertainment announced, "NCT’s member Taeyong is preparing for his first solo album with a goal to release it next month. Please look out for further details with much interest.”
Previously, other NCT members such as Mark, Ten, Jaehyun, Taeil and Doyoung have released solo tracks through 'Station' but Taeyong is the first member to officially release a solo album into the public. This makes him the first member of NCT to debut as a solo artist.
Back in 2019, Taeyong released a solo track titled 'Long Flight' through SM 'Station.' He has also contributed to songwriting and composing for NCT 127 albums, proving his musical talents.
In the meantime, on May 2nd, NCT 127 was selected as the most influential male K-pop idol group in the personand culture category at the '2023 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards.’
