On April 26th, Taeyang featured as a guest on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block.’ On this day, Taeyang talked about how he met his now wife actress Min Hyorin. Taeyang said, “I first met her on the set of filming for my music video ‘1AM.’ I asked her with short notice to star in my music video and she gratefully said okay.”
He continued, “we had a meal out together and then planned the next date we should go on. Everything went so smoothly even though I had had no dating experience before, she took the lead well.” Taeyang expressed, “the more we met, the more I liked her and fell for her.”
However, both of them were busy with their schedules including Big Bang’s world tours which made it difficult for the two to meet up regularly. Taeyang reminisced, "I was hardly in Korea. Looking back, we lacked experience to manage a long-distance relationship which made it frustrating."
They broke up for a while, and during that time, Taeyang released his mega hit solo song ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips.’ This song helped to bring them back together, as Taeyang explained, "we got back together while I was making this song. I revealed the song of expressions and emotions and explained this was how I felt about her. She really liked it and was touched.”
Taeyang also talked about his 18-month-old son by saying, "At first, I thought my son looked like me, but as time passes, he is starting to look a lot more like my wife. When we go out, people think he is actually a daughter.” He added, “he has just started to walk and is so adorable. He is starting to recognize Mum and Dad which is lovely.”
