On April 18th, Seoul National University Children's Hospital announced that BTS’ Jungkook had donated 1 billion KRW in aid to support sick children and their families. The donation will be used for the medical treatment of low-income families and for its ‘Integrated Care Center’ project.
Seoul National University Children's Hospital specializes in treating rare and incurable diseases with patients from all over the country in their pediatric center. In particular, the hospital operates an Integrated Care Center in order to help not only curing the child's disease but also the overall recovery process, as well as family support. However, the hospital explains that the Integrated Care Center project is difficult to maintain without donations. Therefore, the hospital emphasized that Jungkook’s recent donation would be of great help and comfort to those in need.
Choi Eun-Hwa, Director of Seoul National University Children's Hospital, said, "Taking care of children's health affects and defines their lifetime. Supporting children is an investment in our future hope. Any kind of donation can comfort families in difficult times.” She added, “we will do our best to use this donation from Jungkook to help send our children back home, back to school and back to families in good health.”
Jungkook said, "I hope to be of little help to all of the children who are suffering. I hope the children can be cheerful and laugh again when they are in good health."
