On April 13th, actress Kim Hee-Sun confirmed her new role in the upcoming drama ‘Gaslighting’ (script by Nam Ji-Yeon and directed by Kim Seung-Woo). She will transform into a successful psychotherapist.
The cast list includes Lee Hye-Young, Kim Nam-Hee and Kang Hye-Rim.
‘Gaslighting’ tells the story of Korea's best psychological counselor ‘Noh Young-Won’ (played by Kim Hee-Sun) and her mother-in-law ‘Hong Sa-Kang’ (played by Lee Hye-Young) who protect secrets of their family.
Kim Hee-Sun’s character ‘Noh Young-Won’ is a perfect career woman and the best psychotherapist in Korea, who unexpectedly faces threats to her bubble of happiness due to unforeseen events. Lee Hye-Young’s character ‘Hong Sa-Kang’, is a charismatic and sharp-tongued mother-in-law who clashes frequently with ‘Noh Young-Won’ but later ends up teaming with her daughter-in-law after a threatening life-changing experience to her son.
Kim Nam-Hee plays the role of ‘Jae-Jin’, the husband of ‘Noh Young-Won’ and son of ‘Hong Sa-Kang’, and is a gentle and empathetic character, respected as a doctor but envied by many in society.
Lastly, Kang Hye-Rim takes on the role of ‘Sae-Na’, a mysterious and secretive woman.
