On the morning of January 1st, Lee Jong-Suk and IU admitted their relationship. The post on both Lee Jong-Suk and IU’s fan cafés announced, “it is true that I am currently in a relationship. Please watch over us and support our relationship.”
Firstly, IU introduced Lee Jong-Suk as “a trustworthy person who supports and encourages me", adding, “he is a longtime colleague who has a good heart that I can confide in and rely on.”
She continued by saying, “I think you can feel that I am emotionally stable and comfortable these days. Part of the reason is because he is there for me.”
Lee Jong-Suk also expressed his feelings for his girlfriend. “I first met IU in my mid-twenties. She is a loving friend, junior and senior to me at times. She is somebody that I want to be a better person to and I will try my best to protect her."
Fans reacted to the post by saying, “both look so good together” and “they speak of each other in a good manner.”
On December 30th last year, Lee Jong-Suk revealed his feelings for IU at the MBC Drama Awards by saying, "I have liked you sincerely for a long time, and I want to tell you that I respect you so much.”
