A new tvN historical K-drama ‘Youth, Climb the Barrier’, starring Park Hyungsik and Jeon Sonee, is soon to be released. Directed by Lee Jong-Jae and screenplay by Jung Hyun-Jung, the drama is a story about a prince who suffers from a mysterious curse and a genius girl who is made culprit of murdering her family members.
Park Hyungsik and Jeon Sonee will transform into a young man and woman of the Joseon Dynasty, with an exciting romance that blooms as they seek for the hidden truth behind their fates.
Park Hyungsik takes on the role of Prince Lee Hwan. Lee Hwan is a lonely figure at heart and is under a mysterious curse and secret. He holds an arrogant personality but deep inside, he is a soft character with many scars.
Jeon Sonee plays the tole of a genius girl 'Min Jae-Yi’, who was the daughter of a prestigious family. However, she is entangled as a culprit in the murder case of her family and is kicked out. Bold and confident, she independently tries to solve her own problems.
An official from the drama production team said, "The two characters meet as hot-blooded youths, who are trying to pioneer their own lives."
