Kara have made their comeback!
On November 28th at 16:00 (KST), the CJ ENM Music awards ceremony ‘2022 MAMA Awards’ opened its stage at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.
On this day, girl group Kara made their comeback in 7 years and 6 months.
Kara performed sequentially in accordance to a timeline, mixing hit tracks ‘Lupin’, ‘Step’ and ‘Mr.’ The first song performed was ‘Lupin.’ It was noticeable that member Nicole changed the original lyrics of “sing it with me now 2010” to “sing it with me now 2022.” Even after 12 years, the members looked well synchronized in their dance moves.
The next performance led to ‘Step.’ The audience of other junior K-pop groups all stood up to dance along to the exciting melody.
Following on, the prelude of ‘Mr.’ rang through the Osaka Dome. Kara members moved to the front alley of the stage, greeting fans in Korean and Japanese along the way.
The powerful stage of 'Mr.' continued, with the highlight of the legendary ‘bottom dance.’
Finally, Kara performed their new single ‘When I move.’ Cheering did not stop after Kara finished their performance, reflecting on how much the girl group have been missed by global fans and fellow K-pop stars.
