On August 21st, a screenshot of a private conversation between actor Lee Dong-Wook and his fan went viral.
The screenshot revealed Lee Dong-Wook saying to a fan who requested for another actor's photo, "ask the actor himself to take a selfie for you. Why are you asking me?” in a rude manner.
Then, in response to the fan asking “are you jealous?”, Lee answered "no I am not jealous. It seems like you do not know me well enough – why do we have to talk about other actors here? Just like for V app, why is it that you are always asking of other actors.”
Lee Dong-Wook added, "Don't keep talking about this like it is ‘jealousy.’ I am trying to make you understand by talking to you in a nice way. Don’t hide behind your texts.”
Then he explained, "I am not angry. I am just saying this at least once because it keeps bothering me. I am only saying the basics and I want to repeat that I am not offended. It is frustrating because I can only talk about this in writing. I am really not angry. Please do not misunderstand that."
