Seo Min-Jae, a female cast from Channel A's 'Heart Signal Season 3’, was late to explain the alleged drug use against singer and boyfriend Nam Tae-Hyun, of Winner.
On August 20th, Seo Min-Jae posted several photos of herself and Nam Tae-Hyun on Instagram with several captions including “Nam Tae-Hyun took methamphetamine”, “I have a used syringe in my room cabinet” and “Nam Tae-Hyun hit me.”
Although the post was deleted immediately, it was not fast enough as the fans had already taken screenshots and exposed it online, which went viral over the weekend.
Concerning comments such as "Nam Tae-Hyun and I are druggies”, “Nam, I have your needles” and “I have everything recorded on my phone” were also posted, however the wordings and spellings were not complete.
On August 21st, a day later, Seo Min-Jae returned to her Instagram to make a statement retracting her former allegations. She explained by saying “I took more psychiatric medication than the recommended dosage due to stress, and at the time of writing the post I made false claims because I had a fight with boyfriend Nam Tae-Hyun, who I have made up with since and am still dating.”
Boy group Winner member Nam Tae-Hyun also uploaded on his Instagram, “There was a quarrel between two lovers. We have made up since and sincerely apologise for causing any concern over personal issues.”
Meanwhile, the police have started an internal investigation for Nam Tae-Hyun's drug use allegation.
