Park Jinyoung and actress Roh Jeong-eui might be playing onscreen lovers in a new drama. BH Entertainment revealed to Dispatch via phone call on April 28th and commented, "Park Jinyoung received the script and is reviewing it optimistically."
Namu Actors also confirmed the news with Dispatch and spoke, "Roh Jeong-eui received the offer to play the main female lead. We are discussing her appearance at the moment."
"The Witch" is originally a webtoon written by writer Kang Pul. The story starts off with a woman who is called a witch by society, and a man that loves the woman.
Park Jinyoung will play the role of Lee Dong Jin if he takes up the offer. The character is a smart statistician who works at a high end data research company.
If Roh Jeong-eui decides to accept the role, she will play the female lead, Park Mi Jung. Mi Jung is called a witch after a turn of events. Dong Jin eventually makes his way towards the society's "witch."
The producer of "Dark Figure of Crime", Kim Tae Kyu will lead the drama as producer. Information regarding the drama are still ongoing, and the drama will start filming as soon as the cast has been officially confirmed.
Jinyoung is also going on to film for a second season of the Netflix series, "Yaksha: Ruthless Operations."
Roh Jeong-eui previously played superstar NJ in the SBS-TV drama series, "Our Beloved Summer." The actress is currently a host on the music show, "Inkigayo."
