[BTS in LV] BTS Lights Las Vegas as the 'City of Purple'
by. MyungJoo Oh

“WELCOME TO THE #BORAHAEGAS!”

Las Vegas has turned into the city of BTS. The Las Vegas strip was lit in the color of purple, becoming the "purple city."

Fans who visited the beautifully lit city, exclaimed "Borahaegas" upon seeing the change in color.

The term "Borahaegas" was made after V had merged "Borahae" and "Las Vegas." It wasn't just your average concert. Las Vegas had welcomed BTS.

BTS held a concert, "BTS Permission to Dance on Stage- Las Vegas" on April 8th (KST).

The big event had also included a number of other small events. The concept for the recent concert was "The City." The city was turned into a attraction park for BTS fans.

There was an endless amount of things to see from an exhibition hall, a pop-up store, fountain show, Live Play, a restaurant experience, after parties and more. The day was one where the army community was able to see, eat, and enjoy.

◆ TO SEE! BTS

"BTS Permission to Dance on Stage" initially took place in October of last year. The recent concert in Las Vegas was held after a month since the group's last U.S. concert.

The reactions were as everyone expected it to be, explosive. The presale tickets were sold out on the first day for the group's concerts from April 8th-19th and the 15th-16th. As a matter of fact, the concerts were sold out after the presales, that there weren't any seats left for the regular sales.

Dispatch also had the opportunity to see the boys on April 8th at the Allegiant Stadium. The first day to their concert was a major success.

The arrangements were also impressive. A total of 65,000 seats filled the stadium with multiple big sized screens. The stadium was filled with the color of orange.

The army community from all over had waited for the big day. The arena was filled with fans and the lines were already long from the early hours of the morning. Most of the fans brought with them handmade posters and signs for the members.

There was also an offline event for fans who could not make it to the event. The MGM Grand Garden Arena and more held a "Live Play", streaming the concert live for the fans.

The next few concerts will also have other plans in store. A random box with photocards, special videos, and an official goods store are set to take place.

◆ TO FEEL! BTS

The day was an experience in itself. Outside of the venue, were a number of events.

One of the events was an exhibition hall, "Behind the Stage", that captured moments from the group's concert in Seoul in March.

The blood, sweat, and tears that the boys shed was evident throughout the pictures. The fans had picked their favorite among the many and chose to take pictures everywhere.

According to a representative, the exhibition hall had already sold 40,000 tickets. There are apparently 30% of tickets left so it's crucial to book them as soon as possible. (The hall is open till April 17th).

There will also be a show at the Bellagio Fountain. The fountain will play BTS's songs along with a water show till April 17th.

The representative had further explained that the water show will continue even after the concerts. The background music for the Bellagio Fountain will carry on with BTS's music.

Lastly, the event also has an eating experience till April 17th. The "CAFE IN THE CITY" is set in the Mandalay Bay Hotel at the Seabreeze Cafe.

The cafe offers a few Korean dishes, the members' personal favorites. The menu is full of popular Korean dishes such as Bibim Noodles, Korean style chicken, and a fish shaped red bean dessert.

◆ TO ENJOY! BTS

The next attraction had the label going all out for the recent concert.

The concept for the event is "My own themed room." Hotel rooms offered personal BTS themed rooms for whichever style fits your liking.

A total of eleven hotels are participating in this event till April 18th. The Bellagio, Aria, Vdara, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, NoMad, Mirage, New York-New York, Luxor, and Excalibur are ready to accommodate the army community with their BTS themed rooms.

Fans can also purchase exclusive BTS goods at a BTS Popup store, "City Signature." The section includes clothes, fashion items, and more.

The popup store however, is similar to an attraction. The store includes a "Dynamite" basketball court, a "Butter" inspired elevator, and a "Permission to Dance" inspired laundromat. The laundromat is also influenced from the music video of "Permission to Dance."

The last event in plan is the after party, "The City." The party is held at the Jewel club at the Aria Resort. There will be a BTS themed stage along with a BTS playlist.

"Bangtan Vegas"

"The City of ARMY"

"Thousands of fans"

"A BTS loving family"

"Pictures or it didn't happen!"

"Keeping BTS alive within us"

"BTS, FOREVER"
