"Grammy, Mission Possible"
BTS's much anticipated Grammy's performance had finally come. The seven boys took on a concept, exuding sexiness and charisma. The performance is sure to rock the world of the army.
The group had arrived in Las Vegas for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards at the MGM Garden Arena on March 4th. 2022 marks the 2nd year for the group to perform at the prestigious awards show.
BTS had walked on stage after television host and comedian Trevor Noah welcomed the group onto the stage. The members were met with applause upon stepping foot on the stage.
BTS started off their performance with a rendition of their hit track, "Butter." The group took a different approach to the usually cheerful song. The members had all transitioned into spies. Jin played a genius hacker and Jungkook carried on the performance as a spy.
V issued the help of American singer, Olivia Rodrigo. The BTS member was seen whispering in the singer's ear, arousing even more interest in the mysterious performance.
BTS had actively started dancing during the chorus of "Butter." The members all wore black suits and acted as if they were a part of the blockbuster film, "Mission Impossible."
The dance break was also the talk of the town. The members had taken off their jackets to imitate the look of a guitar. The synchronized choreography won the approval of many.
Jin had acted as a hacker during the performance due to his recent finger injury. Although the member's time on the screen wasn't as much as many had hoped, he had done enough to showcase his handsome features and vocal skills.
BTS's "Butter" performance was met with cheers from the crowd. Host Trevor Noah had remarked that the rendition was "unbelievable."
BTS are nominated under the category of Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance. The group was also previously nominated for the same section last year.
The members had expressed excitement at the nomination and remarked, "Since people in the industry, the recording academy members vote for the winners of the award, it holds a significant meaning to us."
