It was a cold day on March 2nd, 2022. A new force has emerged in the Kpop industry. “Tempest” has finally debuted.They cautiously approach the public with their first single, “It’s ME, It’s WE.”
Their name holds a significant meaning that signifies a powerful explosive in the industry.
Tempest is composed of a total of seven members. The leader goes by the name, Lew. The rest of the members are as follows: Hyunbin, Hyungseob, Hyuk, Eunchan, Hwarang, and Taerae. The group is filled with members who are all well-rounded.
Dispatch made their way to a studio in Namyangjoo for the filming of the music video. Scroll below to see a run-down of the most appealing traits regarding the members.
"All aboard the Tempest train~"
▶ Lew(Birth name- Eui Woong ·20):Some may be familiar with the name through the idol’s appearance in the wildly successful survival show, “Produce 101 Season 2” in 2017.The members to appear on the show was Hyungseob and Yeui Oong as a unit. The member is now coming forth to the public with a new name.
Lew is a well-rounded member who can easily do all of the above. Not only is the idol great at dancing, singing, and rap, he’s also a gifted composer and producer. Lew has participated in the making of the album, including the title track. One takeaway from the time at the studio was how well he leaded his other members.
Appeals: "I have dreams of becoming a producer. I can also place a long stick on my hand and balance it really well.” (Lew)
▶ Hyungseob(Birth name Ahn Hyung Seob·22): Some may find this name to be familiar as well. He was also a contestant on the 2017 survival show, “Produce 101 season 2.” The star went up as high as rank 16. Hyungseob is skilled in singing, dance, and is very well-spoken.
Hyungseob was the mood maker on set. As he’s had his fair share in front of the camera, the idol gave tips of his own and actively participated on set.
Appeals : "I am both goofy and calm. I am also very observant. I also have a very good sense of memory. I can name all of the provinces in Seoul within 6 seconds. (Hyungseob)
▶ Hanbin (birth name- Ngô Ngọc Hưng 24): A Vietnamese idol. He is also an experienced idol. He showed off his capabilities on the 2020 competition show, “I-land.”
His natural aura and smile is what attracts people to Hanbin. The idol is optimistic and bright. It’s reasonable for a foreigner to have a hard time adapting, but his smile never wavered.

▶ Eunchan(Birth name Choi Byeong Sub·21): The face of the group. His tall height of 6ft and handsome features called for attention. He is observant of his fellow members and is caring towards everyone.
His appeal : "I am athletic. I am overall good at sports. I can ride a bike backwards. Would you like to see? (Eunchan)
▶ Taerae(Birth name Kim Tae Rae·19): The youngest member of the group. The idol had trained for a short two years before debuting as a member of Tempest. He is the member to have trained the least. Although he is young, his voice is a complete opposite. Taerae is a rapper.
Appeal: "My members tell me that I’m very free-spirited. Something about being odd and quirky. That just means you’ll be able to see a funny side t me. I can make drone sounds with my voice. It’s very similar, around 127.54% similar.” (Taerae)
▶ Hwarang (Birthname Song Jaewon·20): This specific idol is responsible for the roles of the main dancer and main rapper.Hwarang has trained the longest among the members of the group. It took eight years to get to his debut.
This also leads to the fact that he is the most prepared for the debut. He also participated in the writing of the album tracks. Hwarang looked to have the most fun on set.

Lew and Harang actively participated in the producing of the song. The two idols are credited for the lyrics on the album. They both claim that producing and writing is their hobby. The boys have especially put in a lot of effort for their debut.
The boys of Tempest worked harder than ever. They had executed a top tier choreography despite the cold weather. Not once had they stopped, and continued to move until it was just right.
